The Supremes (CD1, Tk12)
Stop in the Name of Love (1965)
music and lyrics written by Lamont Dozier and Brian and Eddie Holland
vocals by Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard, and Betty McGlown

This group is the most famous Motown Girl group. Diana Ross was the lead singer during the height of the groups popularity. These groups usually had a lead singer who was backed up by other singers who performed vocal fills to the lead. The backup singers also sang in harmony while doing steps in accompaniment to the lead. The processing (reverb) of the vocals is rich. Notice how the backing band accompanies them while staying out of the way of the vocals.
